My Tribute To California

Thank you, California.
For the Pacific Ocean that refuses to stop kissing the shoreline.
For the blurs of pink, orange, and red sunsets.
Thank you for the clean and crisp air that my lungs embrace in the morning.
For the great fields we harvest seasonal gifts from.
For the grand mountains that pierce the sky and clouds.
Thank you for the majestic purple and blue night skies.
For the infinite diamonds that twinkle brighter than moon reflected waters.
For the faces.
Thank you for the skin colors from chocolate, to carmel, to milk.
For the small eyes, round eyes, almond eyes, and colored eyes.
For the short, tall, men and women who sustain their lives here.
Thank you, California for the limitless music.
I don’t practice Santeria, I don’t got no crystal ball,
But you make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise.
Thank you for the warm summers, chilly winters, colorful falls, and blooming springs.
For the rare rain and thunder we usually take for granted.
For the rolling waves, and wind that makes the tip of our nose drop its temperature.
Thank you for my life here.
California, Thank you.
