A Healing Heart
Tired of the tears and all of the pain,
The overwhelming feelings of sadness and anger running through my veins.
Sometimes it gets to the point where I can no longer bear,
I drown in the memories of that time when you once cared.
Your voice and everything you ever said,
Plays over and over again in my head.
It feels as if I cannot escape,
The emotions building up is more than I can take.
People say that time heals everything,
but my patience is gradually fading.
However, I’ve realized, during all this time,
That God is with me, right by my side.
Through all the of the struggles, the trials, and hard times,
He lets me know everything will be just fine.
I’m slowly recovering, getting back on my feet,
Put a smile on my face, no more defeat.
