As I Travel through the trials of my day by day,
This light in our ears helps us hear our way
This playlist like band aids repairing wounds from unaware lovers and friends
Another injection of medicine as a new song begins.
They tell me don’t be like them but that advice is hard to grasp.
Because where I’m from all the boys wanna live like the raps.
In real life I’m from the south. I’m not rough and my money is short.
But for 3 minutes I’m rich.

Growing up, I saw men that look like me wearing suits and ties.
They’d help you to your seat and sanctify.
But they preached laws and moral codes.
My heroes had chains and hella hoes.
I used to get teased cause I wasn’t too tough,
But all the people in my ear don’t give a fuck.
They take no shit. They have the courage I wish I had.
I stand up to my bullies through their lyrics when I’m feeling mad.
In reality, I miss the way she loved and treated me.
Her infidelity was news that truly defeated me.
“We don’t love these hoes” is the motto I now live by.
She will be the last girl who knew I was a good guy.

You got time to analyze when nobody is ever watching you.

His girl should be my lady. I’d treat her with respect.

My fear of rejection prohibits any success.
