The stillness I can handle
It’s the silence in the mind
I’m not quite sure of.
That’s when I become steely
Sharp in those thoughts
That just seems to surface
As if lost and wanting to cut
Hard and deep, full of grit
They are vengeful
Regrets, lost white lies
They are so angry.
And in the silence I cringe
Until I break
And begin to start over
And count those sins
And name them by date
Till I can’t name the next
And suddenly I free
And the silence becomes
Undone———
