Painful Memories

I have an illness,
It forms my endless sadness,
It causes my agonies,
I call it, painful memories.

I hear forgotten voices calling,
I see raindrops slowly falling,
Painful memories come back to me,
New fresh teardrops fall alike.

Happy pictures, sad images,
Broken glass, broken hearts,
I walk a path of broken glass,
Made of my broken heart’s pieces.

I keep walking,
Even when I am breaking,
As my fragile heart is torn apart,
Only sacred hope will be left.

I try to forget,
But the more I try, the more I cry,
the more I remember,
And the more I remember, the more it hurts,
the more heartbroken I become.

I seek an angel, a mithras,
For a cure, a mithridate,
Because painful memories are hammers breaking my heart,
Always hurting, constantly breaking, eternally there.

You may say, I am crazy,
I say, stay away before you hurt too
