Bare feet on dark pavement
The glitter of broken glass
A far away siren somewhat distant
A homeless man sleeps by the gas
All Black windows except for ours
Alive in the dark
A twinkling rainbow light shower
A white house with the turquoise mark
Dark vines crawl up the walls
Look around
The run down church across the street
Convenience store bells a familiar sound
And the laundromat where I wash the sheets
This is all I’ve ever known
On this street that I call home
