The Wind
One didn’t make it today
spread the news,
One lost her way
Entrapped in her appetite
She went with the wind
to some place that didn’t
invite her to come along
This one tried
She’d been tossed
like a brown leaf
Fallen from grace,
The tree.
She had had enough
she said, she did try.
This one tried
she didn’t make it.
