A Doll's Life
I’ve been taught to never start a sentence with And because you can’t start the beginning with the middle,
But that’s what loving you feels like.
It feels like the beginning wasn’t a beginning at all
We must’ve picked up where we left off in another life living like dolls
Take me back to the start.
I don’t remember it all
But it’s painted in my mind like art
And I want to feel it all.
And all over again.
And all at once.
Because that’s what loving you feels like.
And I just have a hunch
That whom we let hold us
Shouldn’t have to be so hard.
