Always at war..
Always at war with myself and the people around me..
Guns cocked..
Words loaded..
I’m ready to take this on..
I’m headstrong..
I’m ready to fight my way to victory..
A victory that I’ve been dying to see..
I’m ready to end the war..
Not with a gun full of led
But, with all the words that I’ve left unsaid..
I’m ready to end the war with you..
I’m ready to end the war deep within me too..
I’m ready to end the war.
I’ve got my gun cocked and my words loaded..
I’m ready to end this war..

This poem is essentially about not just fighting the people around you (I.e parents, friends, terrorists, etc.) but it's also about fighting your inner demons and trying to love yourself. Trying to accept you for you. The best way to handle any conflict, whether it be intern or external conflict, is with your words. Words are a powerful and beautiful thing.
