On a blue sky day
On this day in september when we did part
That was the start of this pain in my heart
Its been fourteen years since 9/11
When you left me I was only 7
If I were to live 200 years
It would not be long enough to cry all the tears
That families cried
On that same day you died
So many happy lives shattered
Time has past but it hasnt mattered
the ones left behind we did not die
But a part of us inside is no longer alive
We count backward from the end of our lives
And see the days that are left that this pain will reside
In an instant things can change even if we are agile
Makes all of us realize that life is so fragile
At night when stars shine
I look atthe sky
When one of them twinkles its your waving goodbye
