The Cup of Misery

drink...

The thirst for love fills the air,
As I awkwardly watch my glass,
Nerves building nervous buildings in my stomach,
Stomach growling louder than guard dogs,
Hands shaking more than a teenage boy at home alone,
Face sweating like as if I was standing two inches away from the sun,
My eyes play trickery on me,
Its just me and her in this room,
She seems to be frozen in time,
I never look at her eyes,
I wonder if she’ll sip from my cup,
My cup that I stare at this whole time,
This cup full of my misery,
I wonder if she’ll drink my misery,
Drink all my emotions,
Drink all my thoughts of you,
I hope they flatter you,
Drink,
Please drink,
You’re dying of thirst in my eyes,
This cup is full of love,
This cup is full of misery,
All I want you to do is have a taste
