Riding on the train
From Benfleet
To London
On a peaceful ride
Then the
Giggling, gaggling, hens
Bored the train
Dancing around the cart
We sit quiet
Trying not to
Startle
Slowly they start to
Squawk
They jump and bundle
Trying to get way
From the banging
Then the shots
Get passed
Around
They lye on the floor
Not dead
Just
Knocked out
Finally we arrive
And the bride leads
The way to the club
And we don’t
See the hens again
