Tugging the string of Fate

By: Ezekiel Gonzales

As the crystal sky descends and the inky night emerges
The homes we divide to—only but mere feet apart
The red line of Fate twists,
Dwindles in to a thin strip

TUG,
TUG,
TUGGING,
TUGGING—

As the inky night descends and the crystal sky emerges
No home to divide to, only earthy tombs
Not but mere inches apart
A red line of Fate— not one we know
Grows in distance,
A size we know not of
tug-
