Eutopia

2005

Heres an old-fashioned prayer from a refugee
bewildering spells praise utopian ideology

Modern technophobia– strangled by a cable
How can this scaffold of steel not be stable?

Endospectacular specter revealed
Roadside scabs of cuts that will never heal

Yellow T-Vultures wait for their dinner
On todays menue: a bloody, young sinner

Held at arms length, forsaken, blackmailed
Vacuum out all forbidden fumes once inhaled

Shells and armors burst and spill blood
but those long-limbed cranes dont know a God

They muzzle the lambs and mash the ones who know
their auto-spellchecker kills the charme of every show

It ends in mindblowing wargasms– killed by the friend
We televize now our own predictable end

Instant luck drive-in and fast-food-lovers
cant you feel anymore how much it bothers?

Like a percussion trill tinitus drives me deaf
pain killers and sleeping pills is all they have

Chaos everywhere, noise and debris
How lucky I am that I sometimes can flee!

To a place I could dwell on forever in silence
I chose a life without hatred and violence

My utopian abode so idyllic, meek and rare
now that Ive found it, its Eutopia anywhere!
