The Thief

2004

What he took from me was mine
and what is mine Id never give
Shall the sun no longer shine
may the thief forever live

I hang on his lips, a sore throat
you find me drunken by the sea
in desert I left the main road
dont know where those dunes will lead

Then he saw me crawl into
a bed of broken glass
I never wanted to believe
that the torrent of hatred lasts

But he spoke one word and I dropped my veil,
labiodental collision, soft demanding lips
shall forever shine the moon so pale
when the thief bites my fleshy hips

I can feel the wind, his breath,
in my neck, I expose bare skin
oh Id sell you all my wrath
if I could forever dwell in sin

But he cant see my infatuation
between us lie miles and years
were both deloused in intoxication
me and the thief who stole my fears

What he took from me was mine
and what is mine I loved to share
I still hear his words divine
let the music forever blare
