I often wonder how memories of me play out in your head. Is it a dramatic series of events in which you only remember the moments in which I made you cry?
Do you only remember when I couldn’t make it or forgot to reply?
Do you only remember the jealousy you felt when other women said hi?
Do you only remember when your friends expressed their discontent?
Do you only remember the once in blue moons I became angry?
Do you judge me for moving on but refuse to evaluate my reasons why? Do you create a new narrative to aid you in forgetting my impact? Or do you remember it all...

       Do you remember all the times I brought your favorite candy to work? Do you remember all the times I asked how was your day? Do you remember all the times I saved up to take you out? Do you remember all the times I told my friends “nah not today” or forgave you for your random mood swings? Do you remember I ignored your past with other guys? Do you remember when Ashley was being petty and stopped including you in the plans or when Nia abandoned you because she found a new man? Do you remember I was there for you? Do you remember how I used to look in your eyes
and rub your feet
and hold your hand?
I just wonder do you remember it all...
