Cause and Effect

By Stanley Collymore

I most definitely am not one for holding
grudges and don’t much care for acrimonious
or belittling arguments that tend, more often
than not, to be gratuitous and belligerent
affairs that prove to be counterproductive in
their intended purpose; and which from a
personal perspective I not only regard as
quite distasteful but also judge to be
most unseemly. Unless, of course,
such arguments are instigated by
me and centre exclusively on
my egotistical beliefs and
egocentric self-interests.

Selfishness and the me-culture are so commonplace these days that there’s a widespread but erroneous belief that this is how things should be. But that’s not the case! For prevalent as this mean trend is you can make a substantial difference in counteracting it by simply refusing to accept or sign up to it.

And with good reason to for doing so; since if we all do nothing to challenge and defeat this sinister trend everyone, including you, will inevitably in the end be the victim of its inimical consequences.
