Omnipotent Grace
A Prayer
Lord if you give me Grace to walk with me
Through this day, I shall be Omnipotence
Grace will help me see value in today’s suffering
As I walk through the war zone of opinion.
I shall not succumb to emotional battery
But give rise to my emotions
As songs of praise and thankfulness
For being chosen an ambassador of crucifixion
That the mind and body of my slayer
May be loosed from its bonds of affliction.
I am fodder for his conflicted thoughts.
I am drink to quench his inner rage.
As he eats and drinks of me
Transmit my love, care, and concern for him
In a way that dissolves his anger and
Channels his thinking and behaving
Into new modes of wholesome living.
Give my emotions a heart that loves and
A mind that understands your Divine plan for him.
I am a whipping post that stands.
I am Grace Omnipotent

This poem is about a difficult relationship with my grandson who was living with me at the time.
