A Waltz In The Air

A Waltz In The Air

In the mist
she dances in the garden
He sees her in the fog,
now and then.
In the moonlight
her dress moves like satin.
He’s seen her,
but doesn’t remember when.

In his mind
he can clearly hear the music.
It’s her song,
the one they loved to share
In the fog was the last time
that he held her;
She’s gone now,
but he can’t remember where.

Today,
he said the music called him
He barley made it
to that old rocking chair.
From the fog
she reached out to touch him
Then they danced a silent waltz
into the air.

Higher and higher,
they were lifted,
Two angles, Waltzing
way up there.
Two souls
entwined in the music,
Two hearts
and the bond that they share.
