Nostalgia Rested

Everyone and nobody are better than me
Row row your boat genetically down the stream
I’m thinking too thorough throughout these lines
Throw out the scraps and open your mind

A crash beyond shore
This icey road respect
Save, save our ships
Within your promise to protect

“Read between the rhymes”
A wise man once said
“If there’s a will, there’s a way”
But the wilt went to bed

Parasitic dreams disease my sterile heart
Cimex lectularius like to bite my art
I scream to let me sleep, but they awaken my rest
Then the wise man’s voice says to do my best

And these words birth on a disposable sheet of death
Of a tree, I can’t breathe in the scene that comes next
But for now, I’ll let it last
At last, I am free
