The Crucifix
i used to go to Gramma’s
every Sunday evening
we would order pizza
watch whatever shows
we could agree on
if we couldn’t agree
she would go to her bedroom
and i would stay in the living room
watching prime-time cartoons
but every Sunday night
when Gramma wasn’t looking
i would turn the crucifix
hanging on her wall
upside down
i did it every time
couldn’t help myself
after a while
when she realized i wasn’t going to stop
she what just turn it back and say
“God gave you you’re sense of humor”
