a woe from wit

In the beginning, we were so naive
But yet both arrogant and striving.
Designing the plot of our own life
Never expecting the urge of surviving.

Here you are, at your other victory.
You keep saying yourself “it’s not enough”.
The joy of winning stays contradictory.
Have your parents been too rough?.

So easy being insolent when you never had to lose
Ascending each new top without a hitch.
Isn’t it yourself who you abuse?
Are sure about the goals you’re trying to reach?

Have you ever supposed there’s a threat of defeat?
You’ve been devastating yourself and demanding,
Trying to hide a shade of your own discreet..
But now you’re not the one at commanding.

Your first downfall hits you hard, indeed.
Now your brilliant mind is your own rival.
You’re lying there, you cry and bleed,
Aren’t you questioning now the chance of survival?

They say to you: “poor girl... a woe from wit.
Isn’t it a tragedy– a genius that lost his mind..?”.
Allured by demons she’s yet to weak to beat
But I assure you– there’s no loophole she can’t find!
