Better Half
Walking up in a haze, sun is shining.
Shiny skin along with a hint of red.
Couldn’t be so lucky….this person wants to sleep next to me, she wants to be with me, til death.
Touching her soft skin, whispering in her ear “coffee is ready”…she responds with a smile.
It has been ten years, fifty to go.
