Garden of Allah
Living in a concrete jungle is fun at times
The speed, the ambition, fuel for the soul.
But sometimes some peace is what we need sometimes,
Lying in the garden, the purity of silence.
The smell of pollution, the burden of labor
Like an addiction in heat.
But to graze on fruit
Is a beautiful retreat.
Have you ever taken some time to smile?
Have you ever stared at the clouds until they’ve turned into stars?
Have you ever let your imagination run wild?
Have you ever sang in the garden on Allah?
Eat drink and be merry again.
And listen to the sounds of angels.
For ambition is good, and praised, and needed.
But the joys of isolated ecstasy are rewards beyond measure.
