It is time for me to stop

being the observer of life

and hesitating upon my actions

today I am a new man

because I move freely

as the individual I was made to be

and the world can’t stop me

for even with death, I can

take myself to a better place

I feel my soul coming back

to greet me before I leave

on my own way

and I’ll go with it

to fend off the lonely nights

and to remember myself

now is the culmination of many days

in terror, and in desolation

and I have moved back into myself

to give the grace of God to the people

I truly believe I can

in becoming myself again
