For the Birds
So many of us
feed the birds even
though we know birds
can make it on their own
in any weather,
sun or rain or snow.
But those who feed the birds
rarely feed the poor.
Perhaps the reason’s clear.
The poor unlike the birds
aren’t that much fun
to watch, are they?
