The assured sunrise, it fills them with glee.
Those impish smiles; insidious is thee.
They can’t contain urges of perverseness.
Meteors causes catastrophe, then
Eventually learns to be selfless.
Burdened to take this course all by oneself:
Lost, and in desperate need of some help.
The burning rock, slowly shrinking distance,
And getting everyone’s attention;
Now futile to ignore its existence.
Thoughts of destruction, they try to escape.
It’s inevitable, this is their fate.
Should we burn it all down, start a new slate?
These are things they certainly contemplate.
