Sonnet XII: Another Love Story

Now it’s happening all over again.
It seems like this marathon has no end.

Incapable of communicating;
You took my language, cerebral, voice, and
Everything that’s used for conversing.

I’m a lover, a fighter, with one move,
And til’ my last breath, I’ll fight for my love.

Oh it’s back alright, but this time feels more.
You left me with my sight, so I can stare,
And a flame in me—tanning the Sun’s core.

Don’t know how to make you call my heart home,
But you have me wholly trapped in your own.
I’m trapped in this tract, and stuck in my zone.
In twenty-four hours, you’ll have your Rome.
