Who are alone
Without a friend
Without a home
The aged and frail
The poor and meek
The fragile minds
The ill and weak
The broken man
Behind that door
Who tries his best
But can’t do more
The sad lady
Who wonders why
Those heartless ones
Still make her cry
The little girls
And little boys
Who must make do
With tatty toys
Remember them
With kindly grace
For you could be
In their dark place
