SKY HIGH
The heavy G-force of opposition fiercely pushes against us,
Yet fails to keep up with our determination and faith.
We accelerate at blistering speeds
Reaching a velocity that raises us from the gloomy depths below.
As our collective minds elevate,
We ascend through the sky to higher dimensions.
Leaving behind our old selves,
Bravely venturing onwards to new beginnings.
“Pop” goes our eardrums,
Reminding us of the new heights we have reached.
Our large wings tilt and turn among the turbulence
Of doubt and despair, that threatens to sabotage.
Nevertheless, like a bird, we surrender to the wind.
And let the universe guide us to our destined path.
We remember what its like to soar among the clouds,
Quickly realising that we were always built to overcome.
No longer afraid for we have cast out fear,
With the knowledge and understanding of who we truly are.
We reinforce our wings with courage and wisdom
For the promising journey ahead.
Filled with a new sense of purpose and vision
That now drives our focus.
“A whole new world awaits.” As we learn to trust in ourselves,
Heal from our trauma and try to better our health.
Learn new skills and develop our talents,
Let loose once in awhile as we find the right balance.
Embody self-love to purify hate that tears us apart,
Gradually curing all pain and poison from the heart.
The vast length of our wingspan so majestic to behold,
A testament of our growth and a story to be told.
Light as a feather,
We gracefully descend to the depths of whence we came.
Brandished as a new being,
Unrecognisable to those who once knew our name.
Finally, we have reached our destination.
What we once thought was too far away.
A journey that led us back to our authentic self,
To attract our highest potential into our lives today.
