My Shame
I feel ashamed, I feel not worthy
For what I do is selfish, cruel
I tell myself, ' Next time I’ll do it.'
I’ll do what’s right and not what’s wrong.
I need to stop, I need to find you
For this I know, –You are my love!
In you I find my satisfaction
You are the healer of my soul
I look for you, I want to know you
For all my shame could fade away
If only I would give this sorrow
Into Your hands, I’ll fine a way.
I feel unloved, I feel so lonely
It hurts to see you bless me, Lord
How can you see me as your child?
I am enable to even keep my words
I’ pray to you, I ask forgiveness
For that I know, - You will forgive!
I thank you, Jesus, for that...
Your loving kindness took away my shame.
