Dear son, I got your letter and am glad you wrote
Of your concerns I’ve taken note
Regarding life and how u lived
I’ve took the time to tell u this
I’ve seen u shared with the poor
The way you cared I adore
You would give your last so they’ll have more
Your heart is kind unique and pure
Yet u fall from grace at times
break my rules with your lies
deception lust and other evil cries
Then you’ll sit and be worried
Because u know, no sin will go unpunished
I’ve heard your cries every time u pray
But why thow needeth light when I can lead the way
Yes, in my image you were made
but privileged with choice, for freedoms sake
If man did not die would life be appreciated
Wouldn’t this world be filled with war and endless hatred
How can one love and never felt its pain
How then can you love and your heart has never been broken
Now hold on to faith my son
my grace you’ll never vanish from
I will keep a spot for u
in the Promised Land
