South Africa

In the mothers lap a newly born child
cuddles..unaware, but curious.
O great Africa cradle of mankind did you
heard way back South a infant cries...
Beating drums announced its coming, reborn
the better greater one, that rose from  smoking
guns, blood of innocence and perseverance...
war cries, song and dance trembling the earth
and awoke a awesome fear for all who gathers
near ...eagerly awaits the promise of goodwill
and freedom.
Did you hear the thunder when it wakes... the
splendour of showers rained down on this chosen
peace of earth, the chance has come..long overdue.
Embrace yourselves the dawn of new life the eqaulizer,
the birth of a democracy way beyond whats known...
a place we can call our own.. unmistaken identity.
A child was born in Africa and need to be fed..no more
lies and deceit, humiliation..
where were you then?
it belongs to us, the new edition to a black Africa a united
race of misunderstood sufferers, now here to claim the right
to turn around a painful past... let freedom rein.
