The Rose

For all the beauty in this world,
I have waited just for you,
As night ascends, you will to rise,
In blood, with morning dew,

The morning comes, and then the sun,
As dawn gives way to day,
A flower seen, a rose it seems,
All alone, in early May,

The sunny days shine warm and bright,
As sprouts spring forth from seeds,
Birds learn to fly while insect hide,
And I, the rose go see,

Late Summer skies light up the night,
As a rain begins to pour,
A storm arrives, floods threw the night,
The rose, drenched to it’s core,

Red petals dark with blood spills forth,
As natures turn re-pays sin’s  debt,
The storm subsides, a new day arrives,
While alone, a rose lay dead.
