Why? Why do you write? Do you get something out of it. Why? Why do you write poetry? Those are questions I hear now and then. They never thought a person so quiet and to himself would ever do such a thing. So my answer is simple and plain.

Poetry is and has always been my thing,
I don’t need to rap nor do I need to sing.
It is the way I use it to clear my mind and write it out in ink.
Making perfect sense in rhymes on whatever I think.
When I write whatever I feel, I know it’s real and my mind will never hold back.
When my mind’s on the go, the words will flow and they put me right on track.
Poetry is real, poetry is life and inside emotions runs deep.
When I write, I feel humble, I feel happy and it’s a hobby I enjoy to keep.
So when those times come of happy and misery,
When the feelings are raw that’s when I rhyme, this is why I write poetry.
