Hey Little Frost

Hey little frost, I bet you see
Or anyhow, you guess
Me standing by the lilac tree
Enchanted by its dress
Is this white realm for long, don’t tell
It’s not important now
The midst of January expel
Warm winds, and disallow
The thaw, with all the rains and dirt
And thanks for that, my dear
Although for warmth I’m not inert
I’d rather feel you near
So little frost, I hope you stay
As much as you can bear
Me, who has not a lot to say
And this polluted air.
