My Last Goodbye
To: my beautiful grandmother, Debbie Lynn Hedden. i miss you and i love you so much .
I did not want to go up there,
i just wanted to sit in the chair.
Scared to see your face,
i just wanted to have my space.
But there you were,
it was just all one big blur.
You didn’t look the same,
i wanted to just sit there and scream your name.
I finally went up there to see you,
i didn’t know what to do.
Your skin was so pale
and your hands were so cold
i tried to hold,
hold all the tears.
You did not look peaceful,
it was so painful.
Just to see you
all i wanna do
is just give up and cry.
I looked at you and stared.
i was so scared.
I gave you a kiss upon your head
my last kiss, i just couldn’t believe you were dead.
I grabbed your hand, slowly
and i said lowly,
“I love you so much,
i miss you such.
Nana Debbie”
And that was my last goodbye.
