do i want to be a child
so light and so carefree
when the eyes of the world
weren’t boring into me
a child who hears their thoughts and desires running wild
always scared to be me
always so in the way
who knew the light would find me
turning nights to day
there is a path forward
so delicate and so true
I’ve felt the love and comfort
it keeps me warm inside
like the most fulfilling embrace
no longer needing to hide
