Hero's Ego
I am a guardian and protector
Of all those around me and my sector
I have no aura and some say I’m dead
But really, I’m just lying here in bed
I’m ready to fight, I’m ready to defend
Around the forces of evil I’ll bend
And send them back to the pits from whence sprung
Long ago by those who’s malace strung
I fight with gifts given from God above
My shield that of faith, my sword that of love
If it’s a fight they want, a fight they’ll have!
Try to come at me, and I will just laugh
Have no fear family and friends, oh no!
For here I am and onward I shall go!
Deep into the valley of death I ride
I carry no fear, I carry no pride.
My heart’s humble and soul is meek
I pray for those who struggle, and are weak
This is the source of my strength and might
Ever ready to battle and fight.

I wrote this as a representation of my inner strength to deal with problems in my life. I almost imagine this being orated by some ancient hero such as Achilles.
