Comfortable Cage
The cage is nice.
Has water, sweets, peace.
Visitors are scary little mice,
Outer depth dwellers with sharp teeth.
My skin tears easily but rarely.
Theirs is tough yet always roughed.
I have no need for sharp teeth to bare,
For fierce distrust or pompous bluffs.
The outside surely would kill me.
Here I predict the dripping water,
My fantasies more vivid than what I see.
The cage is nice, for future mouse fodder.
