long unlost love
My long love lost today,
my heart is broken,
my life in tatters, my future gone,
no longer matters....
The darkness came so sudden,
like mushroom clouds of armageddon.
The grieve was so imposing as to knock me from my place in heaven,
The anger came in tidal waves,
the bitterness set in.
I wanted to shout, I wanted to scream your name out loud,
shake up religion,
take away this cloud,
all I heard was deafening silence,
and my own engulfing rage.
As I thought, all is lost,
I heard a small familiar voice,
I thought it in the distance but could easily be near,
She said to me, our loves not lost,
I’m just well misplaced, my dear.
You were there for me, and I was there for you,
We have a gift of love still, that will see us through,
Our loves not over,
we passed it on,
I’ll see you soon, we did not part,
For nothings lost,
Forever in our hearts.....
