getting high in the bathroom
a stupid thing to do
seven of us stay
all in the big stall
this is our escape
before rehearsal
and her judging face
the social component
has got me askew
but here in this moment
i feel much less blue
i’ll giggle my way through
til 4:42
then I’ll have to leave
and head for therapy
she’ll talk for an hour
about how to fix
the shit that i do wrong
there’s a long list
but here in this moment
smoke blows from my lips
and i know its not perfect
this semblance of bliss
but it helps me forget
the things that i miss
the bubbly feeling
it fills the abyss
