Trust Me

Gaining a hurt person's trust is a tough battle to win

Stuck in your old ways you let the past make your future actions predictable. Tossed back and forth often dropped by toddlers hands too small to grip your thoughts. The outer layer begins to ware away. So you use cheap fabric to keep it together. Working on your physical appearance to falsify confidence. Too bad that piece of you is only on the clock part time. Pretending nothing phases you in front of the people who are closest to you. But behind closed doors you are reduced to just a skeleton who sits in the dark that cries itself to sleep every night. Spent so many tears that nothing falls anymore so you are forced to ball up and sulk yourself to sleep at night. Some days are better than others but you don’t expect it to last long. You seek help but you have a hard time receiving. You don’t want to put any stress on someone who doesn’t deserve. I don’t see it like that i want you to express everything just so you can feel better. I promise you I don’t want to hurt you.  I just want to know if there is a piece left of your heart that we can mend and nurse back to full strength. So put your arms down and open your hands. If I move too fast tell me and i decrease and turn on my cruise control until you are ready for me to switch gears.
