My day begins
The sun seeps in and illuminates your face.
You look so peaceful while you sleep.
One hand on your shoulder, the other under my chin.
It’s inviting seeing you in this light before our day embarks
Before we argue and battle.
You awake from your slumber and glance at me with your brown glossy eyes, lean over with a welcoming kiss.
All the negative thoughts subside
And my day begins.
