He’s like my nightmare,
I can’t get away,
He’s everywhere I look,
An he’s always on my brain.
No matter where I am,
He slips into my head,
Then my heart starts to break,
And I can’t take the pain.
I know his arms are around someone else,
And it feels like broken ribs,
It hurts to breathe,
And it’s death to live.
My heart has been ripped out,
Or so it feels,
I’m broken inside,
I wish he knew what it’s really like.
I shouldn’t have let go,
And pushed him away,

I wanted him to stay.
I don’t know why I’m so afraid,
Afraid to fall in love,
I didn’t mean to hurt him,
But I understand why he’s had enough.
He could have had anyone he desired,
And yet I was on his mind,
I’ll never understand why out of everyone,
He chose someone like me.
He was everything I wanted,
He made me feel complete,
All I ever did was waste his time,
I made him want to leave.
I hope he’s happy now,
That’s all I ever wanted,
Maybe he’ll find someone else,
Someone who loves him as much as me.
My heart will always ache for him,
I’ll forever desire his arms around me,
His love, his touch, the sweet aroma of his skin,
The way I felt when I was with him.
But the truth remains,
