The world around me closing in,
each breath gets harder, so suffocating.
Everyday I wake, not knowing the mood,
walking on egg shells, here comes the feud.
Put down belittled, emotionally drained,
I want to run but I’m to afraid,
It’s them I stay for, the two I love
I made them, my boys, thank the lord above.
Then there’s you a way to release,
some fun enjoyment that brings relief.
You help me to forget, pretend for a while,
you open my world with your artistic style.
A moment in time, where I can breathe,
The weight is lifted, I’m not underneath.
Now back to reality the time has come,
I’m back alone and feeling numb.
