Sadness
The sadness can last forever without hope of something better.
I’ve been lonely and I’ve seen through the darkness.
I can even say I’ve come to the edge of the great abyss.
I looked into the depths and I’ve seen it’s dark truths.
But I didn’t jump! Nor did I step from that small stoop.
For even in the loneliest times and the darkest.
I know that there is always a light shining.
I must only try and find it.
