life in high school

It is that quick stare I saw on your face that I recognise today.
the only difference now is that you gave it to me then, and then it meant more than just a greeting, it was more of a silent promise and the loudest reassurance one could ever give to anybody. You settled my heart, introduced me to villains who promised me a bright future decorated with red marks of failure. like a scarvenger  aiming at my weak seeming future
