Now and then
I fell in pain,
‘cause of the destruction
I see around this nation
Called the ‘melting pot’
That’s made of a solid plot,
Which has been seen as the strongest
Only because of its ancestors,
Who forged it with their hands-free
In periods when the land was nearly empty,
But as time went by
So did everything in sight,
Causing the arrival of novelty
And the building of new cities
Now and then
Ther’s always something to complain
Whether it’s from the Old Age
Or to the Cutting Edge,
Our minds want to differ
But seem held down by Absolute Power,
What is there to do?
Nothing really…we can’t undo
Our actions define our speechless
And our children demand for their wishes
Now and then
Our act is reflected on our sin,
But with belief
We surpass the grief
The world is said to be a cruel place
And life, to carry a harsh face
But every day that we wake up
We go out there and live it up…
