I AM….

I wonder if I’m joy or bliss

Or a moment of love, a long lasting kiss

A melody or a note at its high,

Or am I what I am, like this?

Am I a fragment of time I ask?

A dreadful nightmare behind the mask

Slowly the mask dissolves in space

Leaving behind the nightmare at last

Am I a star twinkling up in the sky?

Or just a weird light fly  

Is this the aura of my own?

Bright circle around the self of my

Am I a memory of the past?

Or am I the present, beautiful and vast

Am I a frightful, a ghastly thought?

Or a pleasant morning after darkness cast

I am what I mean to be

Your sweetest thought, your symphony

But is that what I am to you

Or am I just your agony?

Am I a burden or a stain?

Or a destiny in dire pain

Am I a statement false or true?

Or a helpless child left in pouring rain?

Am I a reason acceptable or not?

A mere theory, equation or thought

Am I to live a happy forever?

An answer to life’s trial that I fought
